We offer three types of Float Trip Fishing Experiences: Day Trip, 1 Night Overnight or 2 Night Overnight
Day Trip
Guests arrive at Brazos River Fish Camp 1 hour before sunrise.
Guests are driven to the Lake Whitney Dam and guided down river to Brazos River Fish Camp.
Lunch and non-alcoholic beverages are provided.
This float typically takes between 8-10 hours. Guests depart by sunset.
1-2 Guest - $450
3-4 Guests - $900
1 Night Overnight - 2 Days of Fishing
Guests arrive at Brazos River Fish Camp 1 hour before sunrise.
Day 1: Gear is transferred to raft(s) and guests are guided ~8 hours down river. A shore lunch will be provided.
Night Camping: Guests will camp on a gravel bar and be served a riverside cooked meal.
Day 2: Guests will be served a riverside cooked breakfast and be guided ~8 hours down river to a take-out on private property. Guests will then be driven back to Brazos River Fish Camp to depart.

2 Night Overnight - 3 Days of Fishing

Float Trip Information

Float trips are one of the most serene ways to experience fishing on the Brazos River and the night sky - there is very little development on the river and almost no light pollution

Most of the fishing will be done from a raft or drift boat and both fisherman can fish at the same time

There are a few stretches where if the flows are low, guests may have to get out while the guides drag the boats through shallow areas

Camping on gravel bars

guests are welcome to bring their own tents, sleeping pads and sleeping bags; however, we can supply all the gear needed as well (for no additional cost)

all trash will be packed out

lunch will mostly consist of sandwiches but breakfast and dinner will be cooked riverside
