Welcome to the Brazos River Fish Camp

Brazos River Fish Camp was born out of the desire to share an amazing stretch of the Brazos River that is hard to access. Clear water, abundant bass, cliffs, and bald eagles – it is a Central Texas paradise. We wanted to create a laid back, come as you are, unique experience. Here you will be treated as part of our family.

Fishing Experience

Skinny water takes on an entirely new meaning on the Brazos River—that’s why we use airboats to reach the kind of unpressured water most anglers never see. Nestled between those ultra-shallow flats are stunning, long pools loaded with largemouth bass, spotted bass, smallmouth bass, gaspergou, buffalo, carp, bluegill, and longnose gar.

Meet Us

Jordan Marsh

Jordan grew up fishing and fly fishing with her family. They were members of an East Texas Fishing club; there she learned to rig her own line, bait her own hooks, and remove her own fish by the time she was eight years old. Every Summer her family took trips to Grand County in Colorado to escape the Texas heat for a couple of weeks. There her father introduced her to fly fishing and she developed a love for the outdoors and a true passion for fly fishing. So much so that she went to Colorado State University and received a B.S. in Fishery Biology and Watershed Science. While in College she spent most of her free time in the backcountry, hiking and fly fishing tiny trout streams.

After working for many different State agencies across the West she returned to Texas and settled in Austin. Jordan and Will bonded over many fishing trips on the Lower Colorado River and throughout central Texas and Louisiana. They moved to Waco, TX in 2021 during COVID to be closer to Will’s work and seeking an escape from the busy Austin pace. In 2023 Jordan graduated from Texas State Technical College with a Welding Technology degree to pursue her interest in sculpture welding. Jordan has an affinity for the Texas pan fish on poppers and will spend hours wade fishing up and down the Brazos.

Will Herring

Will started fly fishing when he was 10 years old. He’s been fortunate to fish most of the states along the Rockies, most of the states along the Gulf, the Bahamas, Belize, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. Studying for three years at Montana State University with a ClackaCraft driftboat to fish the rivers and a mule to fish the alpine lakes, hooked him on trout and the West. A short stint in Corpus Christi hooked him on the salt. Running a jet on the lower Colorado river near Austin got him hooked on bass and skinny rivers.

After graduating from law school at Texas Tech (very little water in the panhandle) he practiced real estate law in Austin for 5 years. He started a petfood business processing feral hogs in Hubbard, TX which exposed him to Waco and the Brazos River. He currently pursues bass on the clear stretches of the Brazos and alligator gar on the lower stretches.
